Notification of Acceptance: | July 11th, 2024 |
Final Versions Submission: | July 17th, 2024 |
Initial Submissions: Robot Design Competition participants should prepare an initial submission and email it to competition@ro-man2024.org by the deadline (July 3rd, 2024). With the submission made, the teams enter the competition and commit to work on the project.
The goal of the robot design competition of the 33rd RO-MAN is to provide a platform for researchers and students from a diverse background to demonstrate their vision of interactive robotics, and inspire their peers on how human-centered intelligence could augment human-robot interaction. Each team’s initial submission should be a 2-4 page pictorial, following the call template open format, that includes:
Project title and authors (names, affiliations, and email addresses).
An abstract of 150 words or fewer
A brief description should include but not limit to design context, the human involved, the scenarios, and the activities. Descriptions of both the technical and behavioral aspects are encouraged, so that the Chairs can better evaluate the project.
One or more visualizations of the interactive robotic object. The image can be in the format of photographs, CAD models, hand-drawn sketches, digital images, or even AI-generated images.
